The Cross
He came to this world in the form of a child
through the virgin mary,
not to condemn a world that is wild
in fact, quite the contrary.
He lived the life of a carpenter's son,
and never once complained.
He lived His life, and never one did shun.
And with His hands calmed the winds and rain.
Great and wonderous works did He.
He raised Lazarus from the dead,
and walked upon the sea.
And thousands with loaves and fishes fed.
Thirty Three years he did live
and did His Father's Will,
so His life He did give,
upon Calvary's Hill.
Upon a cross he hung,
with nails through hands and feet.
the stripes they gave him stung,
it seemed to be his defeat.
Tthree says later, he did rise,
from that borrowed tomb.
to some it was no surprise,
they knew it would happen soon.
He is alive and well,
Even still today.
And to this angry world i tell,
Jesus is here to stay.
Every time I see a cross,
I remember Gethsemene.
And how He payed the cost,
For the sins of you and me.
The Same
How humbly he came unto this earth
From a virgin maiden,
To help those heavy laden.
He came from the heavens high,
to save the world from sin,
for they never knew the trouble they were in.
To the barn wise men came,
following a star,
from a land afar.
When they came they didn't know,
this child would save their souls.
this baby in a manger,
sent to help a world in danger,
seemed so tiny for a savior.
He lived like any other,
with temptations many,
But he didn't listen or give in to any.
He is still the same today,
as He was back then.
Healing people every day,
and saving them from sin.
"I Wonder"
I wonder if he knows,
how good a friend he is.
I wonder if he sees,
how much he makes me smile.
I wonder if he feels,
the burdens he has helped me lift.
I wonder if he hears,
my laughter when he jokes.
I wonder if he knows how much he has done for me.
I wonder if he sees,
the ultimate change in me.
I wonder if he feels,
the special freindship we share.
I wonder if he hears,
my suttle, yet much, encouragement.
As he faces life's problems,
just as I have faced mine.
I wonder if he knows,
I am there for him,
as he is there for me.
I wonder......
Lonely
As time goes by,
He sees me cry.
He sees me live,
He sees me die.
To Him I give,
As I try to show,
just how much I love Him.
I try to say,
what words can't tell.
And I feel like my soul's,
on the road to hell.
But I turn to Him,
the one and only.
To the Lord I cry aloud.
And Lord, with you,
I'm never lonely.
In all I do
In all I do
I try to be,
what God wants others,
to see in me.
In all I do,
I try to show,
What God wants,
the world to know.
In all I do,
I do my best,
as I let God's love,
be where I rest.
In all I do,
I try to be,
what God wants others,
to see in me.
His Hand
As daily I walked,
and passed people by,
I rarely talked,
and mostly I'd cry.
I felt as though noone cared,
but never wanted to die.
Yet, through the pain,
I tried to come,
but through the rain,
I couldn't roam.
I wanted to quit,
And just go home.
But at that time,
I saw the light,
And I began to climb.
And though it wasn't fright,
my heart was full of fear,
and all my wrongs, made right.
As God reached down His hand,
I began to hope.
As he lifted me so I can stand,
I turned to look down the slope,
At the valley below.
And there I saw,
through all my troubles and trails.
I see that all along,
it was there --
His almighty Hand.
There through all the miles.
When He reached Out
He brought me out
of sinking sand
when He reached out
His mighty hand.
He lifted me to higher ground,
from this world,
where sin abound.
And as daily I walk,
down here on earth,
I daily talk,
with God.
Who brought me out,
of sinking sand,
when He reached out
His mighty hand.
I take my stand
He is to me
the best friend
I have ever had.
And in His presence,
I find that I am never sad.
As I step out
into this world,
I pray He be with me.
For I know,
with Him I walk,
and by Him,
I take my stand.
Nature's Song
A bird chirps here,
A bird sings there,
In perfect harmony.
Crickets sing a melody,
Beauty everywhere.
As they sing nature's song,
In the land of liberty.
The Process
Purple, Orange, and pink
running together in the sky.
Blue and indigo, colors of ink.
as the sun sinks by and by.
Dark, Dark blue, almost black.
as the sun goes sliding back.
Deeper, deeper the sun sets.
And across the sky, the stream of jets.
Purple orange and pink,
as the sun sinks.
Darkest of night,
with little light,
coming from the moon.
a few stars twinkle brightly
and the moon shines slightly.
The sun will come again soon.
The darkest hour of the night.
Right before the dawn of light.
Up comes the sun.
Brightly shining, oh so bright
A new day has begun.
